Wednesday –

Ah the moment has arrived!  Departing TN we left around 0740 and I was really wanting a cup of Joe, so ask and you shall receive.

A safe trip, we found ourselves in St Louis, Missouri around 1530 in the afternoon on Wednesday.  Previously on our trip in 2006, we blew by the Arch.  But decided this time to stop, and check it out, not to mention getting our National Park Passport stamped! Time with the inspirational adventurers, Lewis and Clark,  as we ready to follow their route along the Missouri River and places yet undiscovered, for us.  Tomorrow, the city of St. Louis will be in our rearview mirror, as we continue west to the vast and far reaching plains.

Footnote - Meriwether Lewis was 29 years old when he and the rest of his crew of frontiersmen pushed of the banks of the Mississippi river, crossed over to the Missouri and plotted a course for the rest of our nation to follow and a place in history for themselves. - Truly inspirational.

The day now coming to a close.  Thoughts swirl around what tomorrow will bring as we venture into flood stricken areas of Iowa.  Saw slight evidence of minor flooding in the St Louis area.

Goodnight to all our friends and family -
