Monday late afternoon
As we started on our journey, we made our first stop in our beloved Great Smoky Mountain National Park. This area holds such special meaning for us and was just the right place to start our journey, as we make precious memories in the days ahead. We felt the last warmth of the setting sun in the west while on top of Newfound Gap on the border of NC & TN.
As we felt the draw of the west in those last few moments of fleeting sunlight, the visions of days to come were so powerful as they pulled us onward. We are full of anticipation and excitement for all that is to come!
